Warranty Policy

The Coin Dinar Guarantee

We are committed to the quality, authenticity and purity of the precious metals we offer. Our warranty policy explains the coverage, exclusions and steps for requesting assistance.

1. Scope of Warranty

Coin Dinar is committed to offering precious metals products that meet their stated specifications and to providing appropriate support for eligible warranty claims.

This policy covers eligible jewellery, gold bars, silver bars and other qualifying products purchased through Coin Dinar's official sales channels, subject to the applicable product terms.

This warranty is intended to supplement any applicable statutory consumer rights. It does not replace or reduce rights that cannot legally be excluded.

2. Craftsmanship Warranty

Two-Year Craftsmanship Coverage

The source policy states that eligible jewellery pieces carry a two-year craftsmanship warranty from the date of delivery for qualifying manufacturing defects.

Examples of defects that may qualify, subject to inspection, include:

  • Clasps, closures or settings that fail because of a manufacturing defect.
  • Stone loosening or loss attributable to defective setting work.
  • Solder failures, separated joints or structural breakages under normal use.
  • Surface irregularities caused by casting defects.
  • Rhodium plating failure on eligible white-gold pieces within the stated 12-month period.
  • Material specifications that do not match what was sold.

Coverage is subject to the product purchased, the nature of the defect and verification by Coin Dinar.

3. Diamond Certification

For eligible bespoke diamond commissions, the source policy states that diamonds are supplied with a GIA certificate or an equivalent internationally recognised laboratory report.

The policy describes the following assurances:

  • The supplied diamond should correspond to the grade stated on its accompanying certificate.
  • Diamonds should comply with applicable conflict-free sourcing requirements.
  • If an independent gemologist confirms a material discrepancy between the stone and its certificate, a replacement or refund may be offered in accordance with the applicable terms.

4. Metal Purity Guarantee

Coin Dinar's source policy identifies Emirates Gold, PAMP Suisse and Valcambi Suisse as refinery brands carried by the business. Confirm current sourcing and accreditation details with the company before relying on them.

Gold Bars — 24 Karat

The policy states a fineness guarantee of 999.9 parts per thousand for eligible gold bars, subject to the product's markings and accompanying documentation.

Silver Bars — 999 Fineness

The source policy states a fineness guarantee of 999 parts per thousand for eligible silver bars, subject to the product's markings and documentation.

What the Metal Guarantee Covers

  • Purity: The fineness stated on the product and its documentation.
  • Weight: The stated weight, within the applicable refinery's permitted tolerances.
  • Authenticity: Genuine products sourced through authorised channels.
  • Certification: Applicable refinery hallmarks, serial numbers and assay documentation.

5. Packaging & Certification

Original refinery packaging and assay documentation can be important evidence of a precious metal product's identity and authenticity.

  • Retain the original packaging and assay card supplied with your product.
  • Keep any refinery certificate, hallmark details and serial number, where applicable.
  • Store your receipt and order confirmation securely.
Important: The source policy states that bars presented for verification should remain in their original, unaltered condition. Opened, damaged or tampered packaging may affect the verification process and the assessment of a claim.

6. Purity Verification & Returns

If you believe a gold or silver product does not meet its stated purity or weight specifications, contact Coin Dinar within 7 days of receipt, as specified in the source policy.

Coin Dinar may arrange independent testing through a suitably qualified third-party assayer.

If testing confirms that a product falls outside its stated specifications, a replacement or refund may be provided in accordance with the applicable policy and legal requirements.

Products that have been melted, resized, tested in a damaging manner or otherwise physically altered after purchase may require additional assessment and may affect eligibility, subject to applicable consumer law.

7. Warranty Registration

Keep your proof of purchase and any product certificates so that your product can be identified if you need support.

We recommend that you:

  • Retain your order confirmation, invoice and receipt.
  • Keep any GIA certificate, refinery certificate or assay card supplied with your product.
  • Photograph the product and its packaging when you receive it.
  • Contact customer support with your order number if you need to confirm warranty registration requirements.

8. Warranty Claim Process

To request warranty service, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Coin Dinar using the verified contact details listed below.
  2. Provide your order number, proof of purchase and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Include photographs or video of the product and the issue, where possible.
  4. Follow the instructions provided for inspection or assessment.
  5. Coin Dinar will advise you of the assessment and any available resolution.
The source policy lists an assessment target of 5 business days and a repair timeframe of 15–20 business days for covered jewellery claims. Confirm these timeframes with Coin Dinar before publishing them as guaranteed service commitments.

Depending on the claim, product and applicable terms, the available resolution may include repair, replacement or refund.

9. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Subject to applicable law and the terms for the product purchased, the source policy excludes the following from craftsmanship warranty coverage:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, minor dents and surface abrasion.
  • Accidental damage caused by impacts, drops, bending, crushing or excessive force.
  • Damage caused by improper care, harsh chemicals, extreme heat or unsuitable storage.
  • Unauthorised modification, repair or resizing by a third party.
  • Stone damage or loss resulting from accidental impact rather than a defective setting.
  • Silver tarnishing associated with inadequate care or maintenance.
  • Loss or theft of the product.
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow the supplied care instructions.
  • Precious metal bars that have been melted, altered or tampered with, where this prevents reliable verification.

Each claim is assessed according to the product type, evidence available and applicable legal rights.

10. Warranty Transferability

The source policy states that the warranty is issued to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase may be required when submitting a claim.

For gifts, the original proof of purchase should be retained. Contact Coin Dinar to confirm the coverage available for a gifted item.

11. Statutory Rights

This warranty is intended to operate alongside any applicable statutory consumer rights. Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as excluding or limiting a right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

The source policy refers to UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection. Please have the applicable legal references reviewed before publishing this policy.
